Anjung bambu - indonesian food restaurant

last night we had dinner at the newest makan place in Bukit Jelutong. Located at D'Pangkin and above the Spice Gardens, Anjung Bambu is an indonesian food restaurant.

My first impression was that the place was not very obvious as the signage was merely a banner and the entrance to the restaurant is through a small side door off Spice Gardens. Inside, the restaurant was nothing special except for the nice balcony area. Naturally we chose the balcony area for our dinner, and enjoyed the cool night breeze.

Bukit Jelutong suddenly wakes up

Over the past few weeks a number of new outlets were open at D'Pankin.

First Secret Recipe opened. Then the PMW market. Followed by My Mydin. Now the restaurant Kayu Manis.

The opening of the two restaurants - Secret Recipe and Kayu Manis has made things quite lively around the Bukit Jelutong town centre. Both Secret Recipe and Kayu Manis has seen high patronage since they both opened.

It would seem that Bukit Jelutong residents are releasing pent up demand for dining out places. Both eateries are of the top quartile quality so the patronage is more or less assured.
