It was just handing over of our letter to proceed with the security service and our reminder to improve their services.
Barrier gate will proceed as agreed. We need to get the tags on the front gates fast.

I apologise for my no-show too. A bit of miscommunication on may part.
Am ok with what had been decided though I still fail to understand why Tiger Force is adamant on having the barrier gates. Don't get me wrong ... I think it is a great thing to have it, it just that we don't have the necessary approvals nor the mandate from all residents. I guess, we will have to cross the bridge when we get there.

Barrier gate - to stop cars from just speeding off into our area.

1/ I plan to get my tukang kayu to quote. We plan to have it removable. If MBSA not happy with it, we'll just gotong royong relocate it elsewhere. If we decide to terminate the services, we'll just lelong it to the highest bidder. Will be a hardwood product i.e cengal, merbau etc made from wood more than 50 years old from old kampung houses in Perak. The problem is with Faridz and Fazz orders yet to be completed, god knows when the shed can be ready if we are happy with his price.
2/ The guards need electricity supply. Can someone suggest how do we go about on this? Who to write to MBSA or TNB?
Interesting facts highlighted by Tiger Force
1/ In one of the neighborhood in Damansara, only 2 persons are active in doing collections. The rest on fault finding modes only.
2/ Line collector to be rotated so that everybody understands the problem faced and not just the chosen few.
3/ The monthly fee to be maintained at certain value as when the residents hv increased, we may want to increase the guards esp at the backlane where the trouble spot is in terms of security infringement and collection.

Then talk to Azrul, Chief and Colonel before it's too late. Pls don't be NATO - No Action Talk Only. The go ahead letter on the barrier gate was not issued yesterday as Chief had misplaced it. I'm just the reporter and one of the residents who wants to make the neighborhood safe.
MBSA
I have just check with MBSA legal adviser Hj Rosli, his statement is very simple, barrier is only allow for gated comunintity, other then that, whatever the condition and situation is a no go!!!. So I think we better follow the rule, if not later on we'll be throwing the money down the drain. Have spoken to colonel and yaroq about this.

Speed Bump
maybe we hv to find alternative to barrier gate.... how about putting "acceptable&legal(to MBSA)speed bump" around that area...this will slow down the incoming car thus will give ample time for security guard to identify the actual residents with car stickers and to stop the one without it....just my idea laaah...since we dun wan to waste our money into drain....

Excellent suggestion on the speed bump. couldn't agree with you more. As the stretch of straight road is long enough, maybe we can have the bumps / guard station not too near the junction (a little bit inside) so that the guards can have a better frontal view of the oncoming vehicles.

Sounds good but the problem is implementation will either be Colonel and Chief + their usual gurkhas. We need more volunteers.
We had recently spent some money for the cones and sign board (expected) to be ready in a few days. This is a lot cheaper than the barrier gate.
I am also looking for unwanted white board together with stand like the one available in IKEA. We plan to put some notice at the entrance to prevent untoward incidents for the non participants.
