Pondok Polis Bukit Jelutong

On 7th March 2009, marks another history for Bukit Jelutong. The Pondok Polis Bukit Jelutong is officially opened. It was officiated by the Datuk Bandar of Shah Alam.
The Pondok Polis is located at Dewan Guthrie. Now, all Bukit Jelutong residents can easily meet our police force who is stationed in Bukit Jelutong. There are two "resident" policeman, meaning their jurisdiction is only for us, the residents of Bukit Jelutong. They will be on patrol and also at the "Pondok Polis". Residents can either visit them at the Pondok, or if they are not at their posts, their numbers are available at the entrance.
The Datuk Bandar also officiated the opening of the new /ocation of the BJRA Secretariat, with spanking new furniture and all, thanks to Sime Darby Properties.

Bukit Jelutong’s second police beat base opens

A NEW police beat has been opened at Guthrie Hall in Bukit Jelutong. Shah Alam, on March 7.
Shah Alam mayor Mazalan Md Noor opened the police beat base together with Shah Alam district deputy police chief Supt M. Chandraseh-karan and Bukit Jelutong Residents Association (BJRA) president Ariffin Buranu-deen.
Chandrasehkaran said police personnel would be stationed at the new police beat base from 8am to noon daily.
Double protection: The newly-opened police beat base at Bukit Jelutong.
“This is the second police beat base in Bukit Jelutong. The other one in Jalan Birai was opened about a year ago.
“With the township having two police beat bases, residents can be assured that their area is safe,’’ he said.
Ariffin said the police had three patrol cars and police personnel on two motorcycles doing their rounds in the area daily.

“Besides a police beat base, we also launched our Bukit Jelutong Residents Associa-tion secretariat in the same building.
“This will enable us to work closely with the police on crime prevention matters,’’ said Ariffin.
