patrolling duty ...
amongst the concerns raised by a few residents was that they were of the opinion that the guards didn't do their patrolling duties properly.
I, for one, am not certain of the intervals that the guards undertake their patrolling rounds, but I AM certain that they do have their rounds. This is because, a few of the committee members have taken it upon themselves to do regular spot checks on the guards during the wee hours so as to ensure that they are doing their duties and we have found it on many occasions that they did do their patrol rounds on their bicycles focusing on the back lanes etc. If there is a reason that they are not so visible when they do their rounds, it would be because, they do not carry a beacon light on their bicycles.
anyway, to address the issue of monitoring the guards patrolling efforts, we have now gotten the security guards to use a Guard Patrol Monitoring System Clock (see attached file for details) to ensure that proper monitoring can be done (this comes with an additional cost off course).
please do take cognisance that we are doing our level best to ensure that our safety is not compromised.

Rear guard post relocation....
Salam and good day....
We hv also relocated the rear guard house to the T junction btwn houses no 1 and 2 of U8/75. This is to make the guard more visible to everyone as the guard has been accused of not manning the rear post.
The guards will still patrol the previous spot and the 'stairway to heaven' as the key to the Guard Patrol Monitoring System Clock is located at house no 29. There are 5 more keys (if I'm not mistaken) located at strategic locations in Greenlane to ensure that all lanes are being patrolled.
The committee is doing their level at their own time at no cost to anyone. Let us all provide moral supports and volunteer ourselves to assist them. Remember, this is our kampung.
There have been several robberies in BJ lately and a snatch incident at 99 Speed Mart. The commitee has been invited for a meeting with BJRA / Shah Alam's Police next week and hope to hear details of the incidents.
Remember too that there will be balik kampung exodus in a fortnight time for CNY. The neighborhood will be deserted.
