an appeal to Pet Owners
As we are now in the new year, I appeal to certain neighbours who are pet owners to exercise more civic consciousness.
We have had several complaints with regards to pets doing their 'dirty business' on our streets, our pathways, our back and side lanes, other neighbours' premises etc without cleaning up after. We understand that pets will be pets but we believe that pet owners, whom have assumed the role of the guardian for the said pet, should be more responsible. Please do take note that one does not live in this neighbourhood alone. Allowing your pet to do its 'dirty business' (without you cleaning up after) in the back lanes or in other common areas with your neighbours is purely insensitive and irresponsible.
We have also had complaints of dogs chasing other neighbours and children; and even the guards (which happened some time back).
Since then, we have received several recent complaints, but we, as neighbours, are not really in the position to tell you the 'do's and 'don't's of owning a pet, but we wish to remind you that as it now concerns other neighbours and the neighbourhood as a whole, it would be within the rights of your neighbours to submit a complaint to the relevant regulatory authorities.
Please be mindful.
cat pet owners
I totally seconded with this appeal to Pet Owners subject. I have the same problem but with cats actually.
I am fine with neighbours' cats 'lepaking' at my front porch and backyard but I am really unhappy when the cats decided to do their big and small business at my premises. It doesn't feel good especially when i step on the cat's poop early monday morning heh. I have to actually bring all my slippers/shoes into the house everytime i come home as the cats love to pee on them.
I've tried all sorts of way, you named it, washing the floor, bleaching the floor, even bought some so-called 'stay out of my garden spray for dogs and cats' but it doesn't work effectively unless i choose to spray it every other day. That's quite costly actually.
So, to all cat pet owners, please try to toilet train your cats by putting a sand pit at your house or whichever way. I have a 1.5 year old baby, and it's sad when it's unhygenic for him to even run around the house premise.
If any of you have a solution for my problem, I would be gladly to hear it and try it out!
Thanks all

i've had cats peeing on my slippers/shoes too !
Worst to come
I even saw two young guys peeing in the green area near the TNB station. One was peeing at the tree trunk just like a dog and the other one was trying to bring down the TNB station by shooting at it. When I alerted them they didnt give a damn about it and just continued to pee and walked away cooly. This happened about a week ago and these guys are the new residents of Greenlane. Keep a look out for these guys. They also walk around without their shirt. I guess the definition of Pets gets wider!!!
Pets or Pests?
Am surprised that such things happen here. If these 2 guys are residents in Greenlane, shouldn't their toilet be somewhere around the area too? Either they really couldn't hold it or they have a monumental grudge against TNB.
Anyway, about stray cats, yes ... I have problems of them coming into my house area too and doing their business. I heard there are some things that one can do to make them 'turn-off' from having to do their business in our lawn though for the life of me, I can't remember what it is.
But mine doesn't end there, I have dogs doing their business by the tree in front of my TNB meter near my gate too. How, do I know its not a cat ... well, the sheer volume of the 'end product' would mean that if it were a cat, it would have cleared more than what was in its bowels.
But anyway, lets get back to the main issue ... I too second the appeal for pet owners to be more responsible. Why cause problems for the neighbours just for one's own convenience?
