Anjung bambu - indonesian food restaurant
last night we had dinner at the newest makan place in Bukit Jelutong. Located at D'Pangkin and above the Spice Gardens, Anjung Bambu is an indonesian food restaurant.
My first impression was that the place was not very obvious as the signage was merely a banner and the entrance to the restaurant is through a small side door off Spice Gardens. Inside, the restaurant was nothing special except for the nice balcony area. Naturally we chose the balcony area for our dinner, and enjoyed the cool night breeze.
We ordered the dinner set: Ayam Penyet and Daging Bakar. Both were served with rice, some lettuce, some soup, crackers, and sambal. In addition to this, we ordered sambal tempe. The food was quite a good surprise, as i found it very tasty and satisfying. The sambal was hot, but just as it should be. The price for the set dinner was reasonable.
This would certainly be a place i would come to visit again for a meal out.
Anjung Bambu
Thanks Fazz.. We tried it yesterday. The ambience ok, food was good, service and price rather reasonble.. except the 'gado gado' to me was a bit let down where the peanut sauce didn't tantalise my tastebud but can be better.. Location? yes they have to do something about it though, I mean signages if they need stream of customers..
OK place for a meal-out like Fazz said.
the place looks closed...
I think the place has closed down. Can anyone comment?
shame...
