Salam,

This from BJRA's Pres via our beloved Colonel Johar. I hv mentioned about this police station in one of my earlier postings.

Dear All,

We have additional 2 new resident to our community, En Azeem & En Bakri. They are residing in Birai area and they are happen to be the 2 policeman assigned for Bukit Jelutong under the "Community Policing Program".

The Balai Community is also located in Birai for now and starts operation with immediate effect.

The address is : No. 42, JALAN BIRAI U8/66.

The contact No : En Azeem : 019-326 0131 & En.Bakri 012-326 3484.

BJRA is now working on the signages to be place around Bukit Jelutong and also fund raising to enable us to donate a patrol car to the programme.

The programme is consider a pilot project, it will only work if there are 2 ways communication between parties. As they also also part of our community, please get them involve as much as possible in our social activities (or even private functions).

In the future, we'll evaluate and find a more strategic place as the "Community Balai", BJRA is ambitious of having our our Balai Polis and working towards it.

Replying on behalf of En. Zulkiflee,

Community Policing Program means that the two policemen live and work
in Bukit Jelutong. Currently both of them live in Birai area and at
the moment the mini balai is also in Birai U8/66. The location was
chosen by PDRM. BJRA has plans to relocate this Mini Balai (with the
cooperation and assistance of Sime Darby) to a more strategic
location.

This means that the policemen are accessible 24/7 by the residents of
BJ. They will be in uniform during office hours and be civilian
clothed during after office hours. PDRM will provide them with one
Scrambler motorcycle to assist their movement in BJ. BJRA is hoping
to get sponsors or raise funds to purchase a car to assist in this
programme and this car is specifically for BJ area.

The Police Beat in Jalan Serambi will remain as a Police Beat. No
policeman is actually stationed in the police beat, it is just as a
reporting/recording stop for the police when the make their rounds.

BJRA has approached Sime Darby pertaining to a permanent Balai Polis
for Bukit Jelutong. We are in the midst of discussing the matter and
coming up with an action plan.

I hope this information answers your questions.

Thank you,

Safura Atan
Treasurer BJRA 2007-8

entail? Are these two policemen responsible for the area of Bukit
Jelutong only? There is one police bit booth cum old-security booth
at Jalan Serambi, is this any different from the one in Jalan Birai?
Don't the policemen already have a patrol car assigned to them? In
light of a series of robberies in Jalan Serambi, Jalan Jendela and
Adang, any visible sights of policing in this area would be most
welcomed.
