for your information i have retracted the Nov/2007 bulletin as it contains the mention of the RM75 fee. for those of you who have downloaded the document... pls do not distribute yet.

revert back to rm50. We need to concentrate on collection and meet the min benchmark. 60 is the min requirement for now. Also Just now simon has inform us a few neighbour at his row moving in next month and looking forward to join our security matters. I think this is part of good sign. After we have more and more participants join, then we will increase numbers of security patrol.

Not yet based from our rounds last week before the AGM.
No.62 & 52 has agreed that they will participate though, the rest need to follow-up. Would like to confirm on the $$$ monthly collection amount before collecting.

Looks like we hv to hire 2 guards only and I've wasted my time travelling 400 km to attend the AGM. Anyway, pls ignore my whinging. If that's the way we want to take, I suggest - 1 at the front and 1 at the rear. The rear guard to be located at the bottom of the stairs as it is too dark and I'm concern abt his safety.

I have got some more money from No. 2/75B (edmund). Will pass it to you later today. His payment for Oct/Nov/Dec 2007 only, BUT July/Aug/Sept - still pending (RM 300). Others @ 75B (Jason, Bahari Leow, will also be collected by him (as what edmund told me).

Received this update from Deputy Chief. So, pls see him. Even I was shown as payee for Oct only but I've told DC about it and amended it. It will never be perfect, so, pls highlight to the relevant person. I'm just the initiator of this spreadsheet. We need some pictorial view so that everyone can understand just by glancing it. Someone, needs to be the focal point. Treasurer????

Dear All,...
After listening to some of you and reading thro' the postings here in the group. I do understand your predicament. Living in this kind of community blend with all sorts of colourful characters, life can be very comforting and at times can be very irritating too. After all that's what life is all about.
The problem with us is our expectation of the residents in Jalan Jeriji is too high. We thought that they are all highly educated, open minded, supportive understanding type of people...and so on...Bullshit!.. Mind you, there are still a lot of the residents here who are opportunists, passengers, Pariahs, non-committal etc...etc.. So, what can u do about it ? Do you think you can educate them, change them ?.. I dont think so.. May be it has to take some time to do that. Some of them by nature were born and brought up as such. It my be even worse...so no point talking, discussing or arguing about it. Its merely a waste of time...
So, the hell with those who are not interested, banyak excuses and so on. Life got to go on...What I have in mind is to have a small pow-wow tomorrow night ( 272100hrs Nov 07)infont of my house. All committe members(old and new) are expected to attend for us to sort out things once and for all. Amongst others:
a. We have to accept the facts that with 'x' no of members we have, we can only afford 'x' no of guards. The present rate of RM50 and two guards should remain. Unless ada somebody wants to sponsor. Ideally, we should have 4/5 guards running 24 hours, but we just can't do it now. We can't afford to force people to contribute more than what they are comfortable now. I am afraid, we will be losing more members if we keep on changing, increasing or decreasing the rate. What we must emphasise is to get or convince more residents to join as members. As the number and collection increases, then we will bring in more guards. Meanwhile we have to bear with the situation. We will discuss with Capt Malik on how to improve the security operation based on the no of guards available.
b. I dont mind for not having the Treasurer. Its ok for me. No point forcing people who are not interested. The interest is for us and therefore the initiative must come from us. If we give up, nobody will come and help us...
There is nothing wrong if we pass our collection to Capt Malik but we must ensure that proper recording and transaction procedures are well adhered to. In fact it is better for him as the boss of the guards. The service of the line leaders to do the collection collection still remains and very much needed.
c. We have to plan and work very hard on how to convince more residents to join us. This should be our main topic for discussion as opposed to having more guards at the moment.
So, Jeffri, please do take it hard. Dont break it if you can not bend it. Losing a dedicated and hardworking man like you will be a great loss to us. So, take it easy man!! I know Zein had been giving you a hard time...but dont worry, I sort him out.
Again, please info everybody about the pow-wow tomorrow night.
